1. Who We Are

TRADINGWITHKAY is a free forex trading education and community platform operated by Caleb Masara, based in Lagos, Nigeria. We can be contacted at hello@tradingwithkay.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate the specific service you use:

• Website & waitlist: Full name and email address when you join a waitlist or newsletter.
• Academy certificate: Full name, email address and (optionally) your Telegram username when you complete the Academy course and claim a Trader Foundation certificate. Your name is used to generate the certificate image itself. Lesson progress and exam results are stored only in your own browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
• Sign-up / onboarding: Full name, email address and your chosen broker when you create an account via our sign-up page.
• Trading Challenge registration: Full name, email, country, Telegram handle, your Exness account number, and your MT5 investor (read-only) password — see the dedicated section below. We also record challenge performance data (return %, win rate, trade count) shown on the public leaderboard.
• Telegram community: Your Telegram username/ID when you interact with our channel or the @tdwkhelp_bot.
• Email communications: Your email address and engagement data (opens, clicks) if you receive newsletters or product updates from us. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Analytics data: Anonymous usage data collected via Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, session duration, device type). This does not identify you personally.
• Cookies: First-party analytics cookies only. No advertising cookies are used.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To operate the service you signed up for (community access, Trading Challenge).
• To verify Trading Challenge performance and maintain the public leaderboard.
• To send you product updates, educational content or offers you have opted into.
• To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it (analytics only).

5. Legal Basis for Processing

• Consent: By submitting a form (waitlist, sign-up, challenge registration) you consent to us processing that data for the stated purpose. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Contract: Processing necessary to provide a service you have actively requested, such as verifying challenge results or tracking a savings circle you have joined.
• Legitimate interest: Anonymous analytics to improve our website experience.

6. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored using Google Sheets and Supabase, both secured by their respective providers' enterprise-grade infrastructure, and our Telegram bot backend is hosted on Render. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No investor password is ever shared outside the small verification process it was collected for.

7. Third-Party Services

• Google Analytics 4 — anonymous website analytics. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Sheets & Supabase — form, challenge and circle data storage.
• Cloudinary — image hosting for bootcamp and blog photos (no personal data).
• Telegram — our community platform and @tdwkhelp_bot. Use of Telegram is subject to Telegram's own Privacy Policy.
• Exness — our broker partner. If you register for the Trading Challenge under our partner link, Exness independently processes your brokerage account data under its own privacy policy; we only receive the read-only performance data described above.
• Render — hosting for our verification/bot backend.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

8. Data Retention

We retain waitlist and sign-up data until the relevant service has been delivered or you request deletion. Trading Challenge data is retained for the duration of the competition and a reasonable period afterward for dispute resolution, then deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months.

9. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019 and applicable international law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten), subject to any active challenge or circle commitments
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Object to processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@tradingwithkay.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

10. Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our website. These are first-party analytics cookies only. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. You can decline cookies using the banner on our website, or disable them in your browser settings at any time.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, including for Trading Challenge registration. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please contact us immediately and we will remove it.

12. International Users

TRADINGWITHKAY serves traders across Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America. Your data may be processed in a country other than your own by the third-party providers listed above. We take reasonable steps to ensure any such processing has an equivalent level of protection to that described in this policy.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or via our Telegram community. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
